Taking paw Prints

Taking Pet Paws

Taking pawprints is simple with our inkless wipe kits, if you’ve already got pawprints we can use these too, so don’t worry. If you are using the inkless wipe kit, you will be sent a wipe and some special paper. The first thing to note is that the wipes feel dry and this is how they are supposed to be, they don’t make any mess which is great! The wipes can be used for dogs or cats, however we do suggest that if you run out of room, you add another print or two on the back of the paper, this won’t come out as dark but we can still work our magic on it to create the best image for you. For pawprints we suggest wiping the paw with the wipe and getting as many prints as you can fit on the paper, you can then pick out the best ones afterwards, as the wipe will only work for a limited time before it dries out and no longer works, so you need to work quickly.

For pawprints we suggest you roll the paw from back to front and lift away from the paper to help minimise smudges but don’t worry as we can remove any unwanted smudges for you before creating your jewellery. simply wipe the wipe over the paw and press onto the paper, don’t wait for it to develop as it will darken over the next few minutes, try to lift the paw away from the paper without smudging, a rolling motion works best, you may wish to push back, or hold any excess fur out of the way to get all the pawprint detail. Please ensure that your dog’s claws are trimmed and the fur between their toes and around their feet may also need to be trimmed beforehand to ensure a clear print. After you’ve finished simply wash their paws with soapy water and dry them.

You don’t need one of our special kits to create prints, there are so many ways to capture paw-prints and all we need is a clear photo of your prints, you can email a clear photo of your prints to us when you place your order, we don’t need the physical prints, just a photo of them to create your special pet keepsake.
