Our Story

Keeping Precious Memories Close Since 2004

Borrowed Moments began in 2004 with a simple idea: meaningful, personalised keepsakes should be something ordinary families could access and treasure.

What started with personalised gifts, engraving and sublimation gradually grew through years of learning, experimenting and developing new ways to turn precious memories into something that could be held onto.

From Personalised Gifts to Memorial Jewellery

Over the years we explored different materials and techniques, including glass and resin, always looking for ways to create keepsakes that felt genuinely personal.

That journey eventually led us into jewellery and, naturally, into memorial jewellery.

Today we create pieces containing ashes, hair and fur alongside fingerprint jewellery, engraved keepsakes, photographs and other personalised designs.

Meet Amy

Amy is the creative driving force behind Borrowed Moments and remains closely involved in the jewellery we create.

Years of making, experimenting and refining techniques have shaped the way we work today. But the most important part has never changed: understanding that the item being made may mean far more to its owner than its materials alone could ever suggest.

Behind every order is somebody's story, which is why care, patience and respect are part of the making process from beginning to end.

Made in Our South Wales Workshop

Borrowed Moments is not a faceless production line.

Our memorial jewellery is created and finished by hand in our South Wales workshop. Orders are handled individually and the ashes, hair, fur and other precious inclusions entrusted to us are treated with the care they deserve.

We take our time because we know we're not simply making another piece of jewellery. We're creating something that may become one of its owner's most treasured possessions.

Why We Still Do It This Way

Technology, materials and techniques have changed considerably since Borrowed Moments began in 2004, but our purpose hasn't.

We want to create meaningful keepsakes that help people remember, celebrate and feel connected to someone or something they love.

Every piece has a story behind it.

And every memory entrusted to us deserves care, respect and craftsmanship.
