Framing Help
Framing
We use extra strong glue in our kits which dries clear, your casts can be fairly heavy and do need to be stuck into the frame well, make sure that you let the glue dry thoroughly with the frame horizontally for several hours before you hang it up and check that your casts are stuck firmly. You can also use instant grab adhesive or other high strength adhesive to hold your casts more firmly
Our high quality frames are specially made with a good depth back-box, which enables you to house the majority of casts without having to file lots of your precious detail away, sometimes you may need to sand away an area on the back to create a flat surface which makes it easier to glue in. With lots of other kits on the market, the depth of the back box is not very deep and your casts need to be sanded until they are almost flat before they will fit into the frame, which ruins the whole effect of this type of casting, which is meant to look 3D
