New Baby Magazine to hit Devon & Cornwall

Gina Duddridge is launching a new magazine, Bump2Baby for Devon and Cornwall. She says, “I also organize a baby exhibition held in Exeter. This year we had a lot of our customers saying that there is very little for pregnant mums or new parents in the Devon & Cornwall area, so I made the decision to launch the magazine. I am extremely lucky to have a really good magazine lady working for me on the show and her role has now been extended.”

10,000 copies of the magazine will be distributed throughout the counties via local baby & maternity retailers, NCT co-ordinators, Midwives and Doula’s and Newsagents. Newly pregnant mums will each recieve a free copy.

Casting Business’s Success

In the midst of a recession, regular mum Lisa is making a success of her baby casting business.

After huge success with 3d castings and kits, Borrowed Moments Baby Casting Kits & Keepsakes of Torpoint is now launching new 2d clay impressions which capture your baby’s hands or feet in another beautiful and unique way. Lisa is also opening a new shop area at the studio so customers can see the range of keepsakes on offer before they decide what to buy.

Lisa’s business inspiration happened when she wanted to create some casts of her own children and found that the ones available were really expensive to have made. She bought a kit and with the help of her friend Aileen tried to create some casts. The frame was poor quality and the results were not good, so Lisa set out to change this. She says, “I wanted to create kits with quality frames and good instructions and make creating a baby keepsake an option for anyone who wants to make one, you can’t get that special baby time back!” The company which sells and produces hand-crafted, personalised baby keepsakes has gone from strength to strength ever since.

They’re back! Our clay kits in the light pine, deep rebate frames are back, due to popular demand we have decided to restock these kits and already they are selling well. They are available with or without photo space and with a blue, pink, ivory or white mount, they make great 1st birthday gifts.

Here is a beautiful set of casts from a little 8 week old baby that had her casts done this week. She made me feel all broody and didn’t cry once! Mum and Dad were thrilled with the finished results when they came to pick them up.

At last we are able to offer our 2d clay impressions as a keepsake       service, we have been working on getting these just right for a while now and the big launch has finally arrived! We have had the website redone to show all the keepsake services we can now offer and hope that you love the new look too!

It was great to meet so many of you at the Exeter show, it was a very long 3 days but it was great to meet so many people and get so much positive    feedback on our items from you. We are very tired but it was worth it and our special offers went down very well and it was also good to meet so many other businesses from the South west region.
